It all started with Valliant.
A certain person thought he was a “jackass” for pointing out the “unattractiveness” of the men at the Guilty As Sin fetish party. Probably because his picture was featured. He wrote:
“To paraphrase Marcellus Wallace from Pulp Fiction, his DC privileges are revoked.
He seems like a preening little cunt, especially with his multo-gay boy pictures on his blog. He’ll eventually be someone’s rent boy. LOL
Really, why is he even commenting on our looks? Sounds suspicious to me. As Nash would say, “What, AJ? Are you cruising for a piece of ass?”"
I’ll stop there because, even if Valliant comes across as having a tough outer shell, as a fellow Cancerian, I know he’s all soft and gooey inside.
I wrote:
“Humans in general are not conscientious people.”
[What I actually meant to say was humans in general are not consciously aware of- well, whatever].
He replied:
“Well, it’s about manners. That’s why I can do without the lot of them most of the time.”
To which I said:
“Well, that’s how I feel about [your best friend] half the time. Rude, rude, rude. I don’t give a shit that’s he Polish, that just makes him a Pollock, and we all know what’s been said about them through jokes.”
This exchange somehow led to a torrid email string about aforementioned disgruntled person’s best friend.
[Him] firing back:
“Actually, that’s not true. He is very mannerable. However, there comes a point where he just won’t tolerate shit. His dad is like that. I’m also like that as well. We don’t pretend to like stuff that flies in the face of our personal senses of integrity and right and wrong.
Lay off the Pollock shit. Poles are awesome people–tough and gritty. They keep it real. There are also a lot of hot Polish chicks. I’ve met a lot of his family from the old country, and they are lovely.
You’re letting your Southern racism show through.
So, when you say shit about Pollocks and Jews, you are pretty much insulting me. Really, these are people that struggled and have [sic] perservered despite oppression from whites and Nazis. I respect that because I can relate. I grew up with the knowledge to not take these things for granted.
I don’t think you have a grasp of these things.”
Infuriated that I’ve been called a racist, I responded:
“Here is the deal – You said several times, as an excuse, “He’s Polish” – using that as an excuse for behavior which I questioned. You simply excused his behavior by putting it on his background. YOU, my friend, are the one who threw that out. First off, I have never said an ill word about Poles except for the [sic] occasonal dumb Pole joke told in high school. What is there to hold against Polish people? I have never even give them much thought!
As for the Jews, I actually have a great respect for Jews, I just don’t like the ISRAEL policy and the way they treat Palestinians. Because I don’t agree with their politics over there, does not mean I dislike Jews in general! I can’t believe you would even think that. However, with all groups, when you use your race or religion as an excuse, it’s completely fair game to be analyzed, FWIW. Which is often misconstrued as racism or anti [sic] semitism or whatever. Most of the fellow pageant judges at my table are Jewish, I love those guys. To say I don’t have a grasp of things is ridiculous! Just because I don’t agree with them 100% on their politics in no way means I’m anti Semitic. To not agree with what’s going on in other parts of the world does not mean that either. In my opinion, there is no “if you are not with us against us” bullshit. The world is NOT black and white but shades of other colors.
You threw out the offhanded remark, and I rolled with it.”
See what you started, Valliant? You freaking instigator, you!
Now I’ve got some video games to play as this is taking up too much motha f*cking time! Besides, I’m sure we’ll all be laughing about this as of tomorrow…

Oops. Someone’s feelings got hurt. Way to retaliate with a veiled accusation of homosexuality.
Boys. You can dress them up in fetish clothes but they never change.

Oh man, I’m waaaay to witty and petty for it to be advisable to slander me. And I am a Jackass.
Further commentary to come

Do I have to step in here to fix this? It will not be pretty on any side.
January 31, 2008 at 9:46 am |
So who am I addressing here, anyways?
Creepy uncle Charlie in the gauze sleeves?
The ethnic waiter?
Fred Penner in the red plastic bowling shirt?
The Bonaduce fan club president?
I’d prefer to limit the collateral damage?

my considered responce: http://beatsentropy.com/2008/01/31/ask-be-why-is-he-even-commenting-on-our-looks/

“I’d prefer to limit the collateral damage?”
No, go ahead and treat it like Japan and drop the big one. That ethnic looking waiter needs cleansing.
Oh oh. Guess my “Southern Racism” is showing!

Max is like Switzerland. She’s neutral !
Thanks for the link, Woeful. But don’t clue them in on these pics. Don’t want them plucking and dissecting them. This is Valliant’s warfare!

I was asked to relay this message to you, Valliant:
“May the nutsacks that attempt to spawn future tragically deformed children forever be cursed! May they dry up and shrivel like a witch’s teat! May he never enjoy another teabagging!”
January 31, 2008 at 1:39 pm |
Seriously, thank that guy for me. That was the most fun I’ve had writing a post in a while.

The irony is that you two are so similar.
Just last night he was speaking of his aversion for the color brown.
I will thank him. He will bitch a little. Then he will smile.
And you will just have to keep guessing who it is.
January 31, 2008 at 9:28 pm |
They are not that similar. Valliant does not quote a movie every third sentence.
February 1, 2008 at 12:48 am |
I rather enjoy movie quotes.
But no, similar in other ways.

I do not think so, a distaste for brown not withstanding.

I can’t blame them for their distaste for the color brown. My least favorite color too.
